Application

1. PQ-10 is an excellent anti-static and conditioning agent in various hair care products. It clings to the hair keratin, which is negatively charged after being washed with anionic surfactants and forms a positively charged surface. Such a positively charged surface (a thin film) gives the hair a soft and shiny feel and increases the hair body and suppleness observably.

2. PQ-10 also finds broad use in skin care products, like body lotions and moisturizers. It absorbs onto the skin and forms a thin film which then absorbs moisture from the surroundings to make the skin soft and moisturized.
